Rangoli at School Reunion
This 'Rangoli' (traditional decoration with colored chalk powder, flowers & oil lamps) was done painstakingly by my classmate Manisha & her team at our School Reunion on 29th December 2007 to welcome schoolmates who met after 25 years. Another classmate Unmesh captured image of this Beautiful Piece of Art, and I thought it would be a nice idea to share this masterpiece with all of you !

Reflection !
I had designed this structure way back in 2001. An error in survey led to submergence of a village road, and installation work of dam gates was delayed for a number of years. The road was reconstructed at higher level, and project was commissioned only a month back !
Such incidents are not isolated in our country, and need reflection on part of planners & project authorities.
Anyway, when storage was effected in dam, everyone was mesmerised with the beauty of nature !
What one person do you wish you could reunite with?
Yes, it does sound ridiculus, but I desperately want to reunite with that part of myself which I have lost on way, in this journey called life. I want to be reunited with that person who experienced pure joy in wonderful & timeless creations, unadultrated by things called deadlines, profits & marketability.
Do you believe happiness is a choice?
One who has mastered this art is called a YOGI !
One of My Recent Designs - In Operation
These gates open out by water pressure alone, when the dam is filled to capacity, and close back when floods recede. No electricity or human intervention is required.
